The bears were back in charge, biting big chunks off of small-cap biotechs. At the Friday, 6/9 close, the Nasdaq Biotech Index was down -6.36% YTD, vs. being down -2.71% at its 6/2/06 close. And the median for all 40 Charity portfolios fell to -.17% YTD vs. a positive 2.57% a week ago.
RKRW is still in the lead but his portfolio took a big hit as a result of the POZN carnage. At Friday's close, RKRW's portfolio was up 29.7% YTD vs. 37.3% YTD the prior week. Wilder held on to second place, closing with a YTD gain of 23.5% vs. 27.2% the prior week.
As of their 6/9 close, 20 of the 40 Charity portfolios were in positive territory YTD, with 27 outperforming the Nasdaq Biotech Index.
