Having a family member murdered would be hard for anyone to deal with and especially difficult for a kid. One of my best friends, actually the same guy I bought my vette from has a 22 year old nephew. His little sister donated blood at work and a few weeks later the blood bank called her up and told her she was hiv positive. Her husband had turned gay with a guy at work. They divorced and she died a couple of years later when the kid was 5 or 6. He then went to live with his dad and his boyfriend. A few years later his dad's boyfriend died and a few years after that his dad died. He then went to live with his mom's parents and when he was a teenager his grandfather died from cancer. He has a girlfriend now and seems to be doing okay, but he had a hell of a hard life growing up.
