Nothing especially interesting in that opinion column --- it's all been said (and in better ways, IMO) many times before.

PS --- I *too* support REDUCTION in the tax rates, RAISES in the trigger floor, and, OF COURSE, much needed simplification in the ENTIRE code.

As per usual....

But you may not get that this year --- looks like it's more valuable to the partisans as a 'campaign issue'.

Plenty of time before the end & subsequent full restoration of the tax (2010 / 2011) though for more efforts to be made. And maybe, just maybe, reformers will approach the ENTIRE federal tax code as a cohesive whole, and reform the lot of it.

Hope springs eternal.
