Doug is obviously a paid basher. Where would he find the time to spend the whole day posting here, otherwise? There's plenty of them paid bashers on the AMD board at Yahoo; --at least a dozen, employed full time; you can tell because several of them stop bashing for an hour every day, around lunchtime, then they resume bashing. Intel have been doing this for years, like they planted a guy in tomshardware, more recently they compromised anandtech. A friend of mine started a new website for hardware discussion, and on the third day he got an intel paid basher joining. Nothing but grand statements without a shred of justification, and dismissing other people's arguments wholesale, just like Doug does. At the AMD board at Yahoo, once one of the bashers stepped over the line, and a bunch of the regulars involved filed a complaint with the SEC, and involved Yahoo. They traced his IP back to Intel's headquarters. Best thing to do with these soul-less low-lifers is to not even bother to read their posts, let alone answer them. Something is wrong with moderation policies in most public forums. It usually boils down to rules that don't serve their intended purpose, like "no swearing", "no name-calling", etceteras, which are really off the target. There's nothing wrong with swearing; nothing wrong with name-calling, and people can be quite funny doing such things. Meanwhile, there are poisonous creeps that do nothing good for a forum, and in fact are often inflamatory, and quite purpously so, yet manage to avoid getting kicked out simply by making sure they are not breaking the rules. I think it would be much simpler to say if 2/3 of voters want somebody kicked out, let it be so; rules be damned. |
