Bush-Cheney and Enron/Texas energy thieves in 2000-2001 were connected at the hip and the same special interest. They were all in it together including James Baker and all the rest.

The gouging did not start until the day after Bush-Cheney were nominated, the first all-big oil ticket ever. That was no coincidence. The fix was in to sock it to the wesat coast and steal 30 billion, then use the chaos to try and destroy Grey Davis, who Bush was afraid might run against him in 2004.

Enron, the pointman on the 30 billion dollar ripoff, was Bush's biggest contributor and Rove ran Bush campaign operations out of Enron HQ and used their jets for free. Those two entities were as close as any corporation and politician have ever been in US history.

Both Bush-Cheney and Enron used Ed Gillespie as their lobbyist/dirty trickster PR man. Enron spent 7 million during the gouging campaign to blame the phony energy crisis on democrats for Bush-cheney's benefit, and Bush-cheney echoed those lies. Gillespie coordinated both and was later promoted to head Bush's RNC.

Clinton tried hard to do something about the energy gouging, but the entire energy business was behind Bush and stonewalled Clinton. When CLinton and Gore wanted to release strategic reserves to bring down gasoline prices, Bush lied and said that should never be done except during war. Cheney lied and said we needed 1300 new power plants (which Halliburton would be paid by taxpayers to build).

The energy gouging continued well into Bush's first year in office and only turned into a sudden "energy glut" the day after Jeffords switched parties giving Dems power to subpoena Cheney's corrupt energy task force papers.

Everyone who's anyone in Texas and California knows Enron and Bush-Cheney were in fact the same thing in 2000-2001, and that Bush-Cheney were very much cooperating with the energy ripoffs. Bush's first choice to head the Treasury of Energy Department was in fact Ken Lay. or Kenny Boy as GW called him.
