Zarqawi's death must be about the 5th or 6th alleged turning / tipping point in Iraq at least, Uday, Qusay, Sadam, elections, constitutions - all good for another round of gloating triumphalism, and a month later things looks worse than ever. Maybe this time will be different, but skepticism seems warranted after so many previous "triumphs". Just up in the Atlantic is this somewhat more grounded analysis from a favorite author of mine: theatlantic.com , readable in Message 22531889 for old times' sake.
