Democrat or republican...more of the same... Nope...not the same. The scale goes something like this: dictatorship-fascism-neocons-republicans-centrists-democrats-socialists-communists. With the current administration we're as close to a fascist dictatorship that this nation has ever been. You have to be careful because there is often a full circle connection between fascism and communism. In that case neither is really a pure form, but a bastardization and mixing of the two. The political "spectrum" is not well represented by a line...but I don't want to go over your head with three dimensional models. The sweet spot is the center, and that is where we need to get. The only way there, pragmatically speaking is to vote democrat for positions in congress and the administration until a balance is achieved. We don't want to get too democratic either, or you could end up with another Johnson's great society plan. There are no other options in the "two party" system that makes up the nation. If you supporting a third party candidate for congress or the presidency you are throwing your vote away. If you want to support third party candidates, then you have to do that from the ground up. Until there is a Libertarian or Green party controlled school board and then a state house or senate in the country there will never a Libertarian or Green congress or presidency. These are the facts tonto from which you continue to hide. I think that you are a republican Bush supporter that is trying to deflect votes from the democrats to "unnamed third parties" in an effort to help the republicans. I would not be surprised if you are a paid poster to that end.
