Advanced Prefetching is the NUMBER ONE reason behind Conroe's performance over Athlon 64. Athlon needs it just as badly, having an integrated memory interface helps but is not enough. It's not old tricks like memory disambiguation which were already implemented on the Alpha 21264 ten year ago. Alpha's architect Dirk Meyer should know all about it, nor is it a bit of Macro-op fusion. Regards, Hans
