A$NAP, im not going to address GS other to say that he is no longer w/ the company, i dont doubt that there might be one or 2 people left that will deal with him...not bashing him but other than sharma and ozabal (forgive the spelling) i have a hunch that nearly all the initial team will running dry on information once a majority interest holder comes with a new team
As far as the RV tec deal, this is what ive been able to put together looking at the pieces of the puzzle. relevent to this convo two things stand out from GS's watch.
1.) RVtec and 2.) Leon leaving, now we know that sharma could do things leon could not do and given the stage of clyw it was right for leon to replace himself with sharma, regarding RVtec, one has to know a little about programing, and recall that even before the rvtec deal GS was complaining about the FLEX deal going bad secondary to Leons old boss MOT. So we know that someone was pushing for the phones back before GS took the helm as ceo, its possible to be incorrect that GS may not have not been hot on the phones while pushing the RVtec deal through as CEO. Fact is however clyw did probably owe RVtec alot of money for the following reasons
a.) the prototypes (which we have all beaten to death) b.) the consulting and software / hardware platform NEEDED to develop and test the ASNAP framework
fact is though dual mode pones are becoming a common word if you read light reading blogs etc. daily two years ago you couldnt just go out and buy one to use as the basis of one's development platform. in fact sleipner needed the clyw phone as a prototype to take a number of their projects to the next level. now that HP has wifi and cmda in PDA's there is no need for the 1250i, but that is now, not then when to move forward they did
there is more risk in the stock from one point of view since if no one licenses their technology they are over since w/ out a phone they cant very well license the technology to themselves
on the other hand no there is no drag on the company to try to make ten twists of the rubic's cube simultaniously in order to make the company viable (ie letter of credit. mfg deals etc all coming down in perfect unison so that the company can do the phones w/ out any additional cash), further w/ competitors though asnap wont be a one trick pony the phones might have been, with the environment as it is now its much harder to follow a "seeding model" because of all the competition, but also for the right patent its also in this environment unnecessary imho
if no one else was making dual mode phones then Calypso Wireless would have HAD to have dealt with RVtec and would have needed to have stuck it out and imho someone would have came along but imho in the current environment it simply does not make sense to stick with the seeding model any further than at the prototype level
remember that clyw does have prototypes and has learned greatly from their development, from the sharholder perspective this all has been mighty confusing but if one is truely viewing this as an investment rather than a trade imo there is great opportunity to get this stock for one of the best bargans...sure there is risk, and at times i have my doubts but the k confirmed all the buzz so i am betting more of the same
go clyw
