Update: AMD Plans Major CPU Price Drops Day After "Conroe" dailytech.com Anantech now lists AMD's 7/24 prices here: images.dailytech.com There are no price cuts listed for the 1MBx2 Athlon 64 X2. Are the dies so large and yields so poor AMD is basically going to give up marketing them? Everything but the X2 3800+ seems way overpriced compared to Conroe. Even the $163 3.4GHz Pentium D 945 should be quite competitive with the X2 3800+.
