Or do you feel AMD is going to have more capacity than they need and will throttle back FAB36 ramping, FAB30 production or eliminate Chartered production.
"

There are no "bad questions", but your lines could qualify
for this ...
You know too that Chartered is ramping and will ramp even
more in the future, so this alone says all what I have to
say about the progress at FAB36. And just look what AMD stated
prior the analyst day in regards to dresden expansion. So
it really looks, that they will wait another year or two to
fill FAB36 ... of course.

I can't look behind the FAB-doors, but its clear, that FAB30
alone is "only" capable of 12-13Mio. per quarter. Its clear,
that if we ramp DC heavily at FAB30 too, this number will go
down, again heavily - no rocket science. So the DC ramps
depends "only", how fast and good FAB36 could ramp - I also
said this here in the past. It would be a desaster for AMD,
if the OEMs (and new ones) will come to AMD and ask for
products and AMD has to say, sorry, ask in 3 month, when we
have a few more units ... so its my understanding that they
will do ALL!!! which supports the demand picture and when you
ask me, it looks great and will look better as time goes by.
Look at my posts my Combjelly today - these are my thoughts -
you could agree, but I assume you will not - as often. ;-)

So, in the end, the future price structure depends massivly
what Intel is doing, no question, but there are other factors
too, which are the units we could make. So, its my sentiment,
that the X2 has an incredible sentiment in the market place
and will further have this when the Conroe launch is done. I
assume you will disagree here too. So, why should we de-
crease the price so heavily, when we know, that the demand
will be ABOVE supply. Doesn't make sense when you ask me. So
I'm sure, that AMD will do (nearly) all to sell what they
produce (a percentage here or there of course - I'm hoping
for bigger inventory, which is TOO LOW now) - thats it.
