I am new to this thread.

This opportunity looks rather huge when you consider the growth rates of credit/debit card usage.

With such a lucrative market, what prevents someone like Lucent from saying, "That looks tasty, I'll try some. And, oh, by the way, my older brother AT&T will market it to his business customers."?

The company's info says they have a proprietary product. Does that help defend turf? Are there patents held? Or is this just wireless IP?
