I grew up believing that Republicans were better able to handle the economy and that they believed in fiscal conservativism, balanced budgets, no big new government programs. So, are they aware of the risks? Probably. Are they advising him the way Republican economic strategists would normally advise Republican Presidents? I doubt it.

Are there any fiscal conservatives left on the Republican side (where I would expect to see them, after all)?
