but it was pretty much ignored. But, unlike what I said in the second post, the embedded SiGe transistor is already being used in 90nm wafer starts that we will see ~August/September, otherwise the Last 90nm=First 65nm would not be true. I think the transistor symbols show up not where wafer starts occur, but where production output starts. Otherwise it would be quite a stretch to "predict" when then next transistor will be ready. It is, in fact, not a prediction, but time required for the normal fab/packaging cycle, 3 months.

So the August/September 90nm parts should bring about 14.5% clock/power improvement, followed in December by a small improvement due to the shrink.
