I certainly sympathize with your last statement. I think together we grew up in a much simpler and more harmonious America. To be honest, I don't really miss much about that time.

And I'm not qualified to do much commenting because I do live in middle America surrounded by a predominately white population and always have.

Although more and more I see and meet Hispanics and people from other nations. Just the other day I was at the market and a young couple were speaking in what I think was Russian....this is not common here. And I'd like to make clear what I observed in the '90s. Imo this was the era when it seemed that the boarders were completely ignored and opened and a great influx of immigrants poured into our country. Not a coincidence imo when NAFTA was passed by Congress and signed into law by our President.

Bush put up steele tarrifs then removed them when it was advantageous (and maybe after being threatened???) just as he put up lumber barriers and supports farm subsidies and doesn't every country do the same etc...

And too bad for those of us who think the Jersey girls are witches (in their own devious way) or objected when those boarders ceased to exist. Opinion.........all opinion.

So American citizens, those last few who were in love with "diversity" and the mix of cultures, are getting shoved out. I'm speaking specifically of advertising. Sort of amusing, if I had a taste for irony.

Boy........you lost me there.

But I'd like to hear your opinion of the people of Mexico and their chances of integrating here since you have been there and find them interesting.

Or should I be aware that it may be us who will be required to do the necessary integration?

Pesonally.......I'm inclined to believe that all of NA will integrate into one big nation.
