John, I don't plan to see it. I never go to the movies. I might watch it when it comes on TV. I have no use for seeing it other than to deal with the very tiny question of whether folks are reporting accurately what is and isn't in it, which interests me mainly from the perspective of hype and polarization, partly from the coalition building perspective, unfortunately wrongheaded, IMO.
As for the substance, don't forget, I spent fifteen years at EPA. I was involved in setting up its climate change office back when climate change was little more than a "special project." Been there, done that, and long since digested about all a non-scientist without strong motivation can. When there's something new out there, something with rigor, like new science or policy proposals, I will check into them. Hockey sticks are such old hat. |
