I'm not, by most measures, a liberal. And I don't think the country is conservative. As I said in another post, I think most people are "independent". They are looking for a functional, sensible pragmatic government. Not ideology but competency.

The fact that Coulter's books make the best seller's list time after time causes me think that people are a lot more conservative than you believe. I think its something they don't openly discuss. They say wwhat's politically correct in public and something else privately.
