David,

I wouldn't dismiss insider sales so easily. If you look at the networkers since the beginning of the year, there were big sales at COMS just before they warned in January, and more sales before the USRX merger announcement. ASND had big insider sales before they merged with CSCC. CS had big sales before they warned last spring. I haven't seen a case where bad news (or at least perceived bad news such as the COMS/USRX merger) wasn't preceeded by a spike in insider sales. Obviously it isn't a perfect indicator, but if you are sitting on some profits, I don't think you can go wrong by selling fast and asking questions later. Doing this with COMS provided an opportunity to sell in the mid-50's and buy back in the mid-to-high-40's.
