There are clearly a variety of different motives behind the "dont't get it" crowd. The two which are the least acceptable are (1) this is all a left wing conspiracy and (2) I'm making money right now and don't wish to be bothered. Well, and then there's (3) I'm making money right now and I wish to make certain all the talk of global warming doesn't undercut it. At one level, the global warming debate and alarms are what they are and will become what they will become. It's simply unfortunate and beyond (morally culpable) for the debates to be so politicized.
