Kerry was 100% right about Iraq. He was 100% right about trying to attach accountability and payment provisions to the 87 billion bill. He was wrong however to have ever trusted Bush-Cheney's word on anything for a minute. That much he has admitted.

The big lie here is that there are only two choices - total war or total peace. Once Bush bungled into Iraq, getting out became very complicated. Therefore, that created multiple choices, none of them easy. And Kerry and Murtha's choice now (and they do have a clear plan now) is the right course. But oh the damage Bushies have done, especially to our military and our budget deficits.
