<Depression has already set in> I'm sure you're aware of the debt load in most sectors of the US economy and households... this could be very ugly. That has been the BEST case for gold by the fundamentalists IMHO... the fed will never let mass defaults happen... but that's long term stuff. It could look damn scary if unemployment starts to jump and it takes time do anything. That's why I'm short S&P... it's going MUCH lower. The Fed has to start to PUMP on a new dimension for gold to rocket again IMHO. It'll bounce around, but it won't go to new highs now (JMO) till it becomes obvious the Fed is going to do some special stuff. DAK
