Loantech, I have been wrong too many times to defend anything I say-lol. I have trained myself to attach no ego to my guesses.

In poker they have a cardinal rule "go with your first hunch it is right 90% of the time". And the less ego the better. They are talking about making a call i.e does the guy have a hand or is he bluffing? If your first thought is: " he has it", he usually does. You then have to fold. If you call, it is called "the long call" a big no no that almost all amatures make and pros playing badly.

I have a hunch those are the figures we will see.

Poker players are probably the most introspective bunch in the world next to Buddhist monks-lol.

When one learns poker pretty well how one does in any particular game depends mostly on one's state of mind. Good poker players never drink while playing, get plenty of rest and constantly focus on how they are reading the game.

We poker players have found the difference between winning and losing is usually how well we can "see the game". It is a constant battle and quite an interesting phenomonen.

If the players are beginners then we can play drunk-lol.

Sometimes I play like god and sometimes I play like Gomer Pyle and the difference between the two states of mind often escapes me and all poker players. Sometimes I can see my play, good or bad, and sometimes I cannot.

As often as not when we make a bad play there is evidence there we did not see. Then we go through the whole process again of introspection and self recrimination-lol.

ALL good poker players do this all the time. It is like we are trying to communicate with our unconconsious mind (intuition).

We actually learn to trust our intuition. Someone should do a study of seasoned poker playes to see if they think differently-lol.

So that is my hunch. GGC $.90 to 1.10.

PS Phil Helmuth (one of the best poker players in the world) was having a bad time of it and went up to JT Cloutier (he is as good as Helmuth)standing on the rail and asked him what he was doing wrong.

Cloutier responded: " you have to give some of these guys credit for knowing how to play". Helmuth had overestimated his abilities and underestimated his opponents and probably was playing weaker hands than he should have.

Good poker players can play weaker hands because they know how to get away from a hand after the flop or often they can bluff the pot without a hand, or tell when the rest of the board has nothing and can call someone down with 22 after they missed their flop.

Drinking wine-lol.
