It's a nice thought, but I don't buy this whole thing. Maybe I'm being negative, but it seems to me a slightly desperate act for TI to donate money to companies willing to develop their technology. I'm as long on SSPIF as the next guy, but this doesn't feel like market forces to me. Still, it's the Microsoft strategy, so maybe it's the way things are done these days.
