NASDBULL: [Matt asked me to look too. ] I'm not so sure. Just look for calls to subs dealing with date storage, retrieval and calculation. change pointers to new 'cooked' routines. You could do a bit more with microcode. I think it might work for non RDBMS COBOL apps, but RDBMS stuff? I remain skeptical there. Also the impact on code maintenance seems negative. The program no longer expresses what you are doiing. Matt, I would love to see the patent material. It may be the perfect time frame extension in some cases though. Good luck. .
