Nexar Expands Salesforce to Support Channel Growth WESTBOROUGH, Mass.--
Expanded Regional Sales Teams Increase Nexar's National Market Presence; Reflects Demand for Upgradable XPA PCs
Nexar Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:NEXR), one of the world's fastest-growing manufacturers of customizable and upgradable PCs, announced today a significant expansion of its field sales force. This initiative reinforces Nexar's commitment to expanding its network of both national and regional resellers and to help the company's channel partners meet the growing demand for Nexar's XPA (Cross Processor Architecture) PCs.
With its increased sales force, the company will now have a sales presence to attract and support resellers in Philadelphia, Cleveland, Atlanta, Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco as well as in Dallas, New York, Boston and Washington D.C. Nexar also is providing additional staff to its existing US, International and Government sales divisions and expects to complete the expansion in the fourth quarter.
"An expanded U.S. sales force will enable us to better support our major accounts and existing channel partners," said Albert J. Agbay, chairman and chief executive officer, Nexar Technologies Inc. "This investment also demonstrates Nexar's dedication to providing our channel partners with high-quality, easily customizable PCs, as well as the sales support they need to successfully compete against direct PC manufacturers."
Nexar's channel of prominent value-added resellers (VARs), distributors, superstores and end-user direct organizations includes Avnet, Bull HN Information Systems, GTSI, Ingram Micro, MicroAge and Nationwide Computers. Most recently, Nexar has signed a reseller contract with CompUSA, which is now offering Nexar PCs through its corporate and government sales divisions. These distributors and resellers provide value-added service to customers by taking full advantage of the Nexar systems' innovative "customize now, upgrade later" concept.
Nexar's XPA PC allows end-users to extend the lifecycle of their PC through affordable upgradability and seamless migration to future generation technologies. It also enables both Nexar and its resellers to configure systems based on customers' specific computing requirements for processor, memory, modems, video, audio and network interface cards. This provides the flexibility and scalability resellers require to easily and cost-effectively custom configure, on demand, to meet each customer's specific technical and budgetary requirements.
