I believe human nobility is founded on a regard for the common goodness in all of us, as a founding principle of a healthy society. Common goodness is a mutual regard for the well being of self and others. It is not a rigid dictate handed down by a social authority to control you. It is an idea that you control by your free will to choose the beneficent path over the corrupt.

Human nobility is realized individually through a freedom of conscience, which maintains the delicate balance between responsibility for the care of one's fellows and the freedom from oppression by one's fellows that we should all seek individually and on behalf of one another.

Do you frequently imagine yourself to be 19 again and sitting on the college green amongst the flowers; speaking great thoughts after taking philosophy 101?
