Slacker, Does Nokia have IP in CDMA? In the event of a nuclear option, could QCOM simply refuse to allow Nokia to use the QCOM IP in WCDMA or are they obligated to simply charge FRAND royalties? Nokia clearly believes that a court would mandate a better(lower) royalty rate than QCOM. But a court would also mandate that Nokia pay for the QCOM IP used in GSM EDGE/WEDGE etc. I guess everyone is taking a long look at the cards. It seems to me that CDMA remains QCOM's best option in a total meltdown-- which, again, everyone agrees is quite unlikely. I think it is also relevant that QCOM has not agreed yet to license any of their Flarion/WiMax IP on unspecified "FRAND" terms. ///jay
