Nobody is saying that Lipitor isn't a great drug. But Zocor is very good as well for most people. For example, it has brought my LDL down from over 200 to just under 100.

The issue is insurers putting enough pressure on DRs and/or patients to go with a much less expensive drug. What is the impact on PFE if say 15-20% switch or start on Zocor?

Didn't PFE have some discouraging data few months back from a trial of high dose Lipitor?
