Anand's setup did better for Conroe Extreme despite having 2G of slower memory for both Intel and AMD -- Quake4, FEAR and Battlefield got
23.8%, 17.8% and 20.3%.

On QUAKE4:
hardinfo [640x480 resolution]
tweaktown [640x480]
anandtech [1024x768]

On FEAR: All the same

So in order to get <10% performance difference on games @1024x768 AMD needs to launch (???) high-end parts >3.2GHz + DDR2-800 4-4-4-12. That's how I read those tests.
