does the selloff in GLD cause selling of bullion? once they buy bullion do they ever sell it?

I'm not sure why you can't get an answer. I haven't followed the specifics of how it works as well as others, but clearly they can have to sell bullion. they acquired bullion as PoG soared, and I remember reading a couple of instances since this correction started when they did sell some, but they haven't sold any during this latest plunge.

There was this from Lance Lewis two nights ago :

Note that GLD traded record volume today. After being in a decline for a month, a 7 percent drop on record volume like we saw today is likely indicative of a washout. It’ll be interesting to see tomorrow whether GLD even sold any physical gold or not today. Following some light selling near the peak in May, GLD has interestingly only added more metal to its holdings as the price has fallen.

and there was this last night:

We learned today that the GLD ETF interestingly didn’t sell a single ounce of metal during yesterday’s panic, indicating once again that the money in the ETF is likely there to stay and not “hot money”.
