the meaning of "fact":


You forget an even simpler, more general requirement.
A fact is something, therefore it is a noun (or one of the parts of speech or a phrase that is standing in place of a noun). It would never be an "If ... Then ..." statement. Your response was so far off the mark that I am at a loss to comment.
