Just maybe Congress is doing what people want. To leave social security alone and it's Bush who is not listening to the people! Bush is trying to wiggle out of paying for SS and "the people" want the gov to leave the program alone and stop spending social security funds on other stuff. It's the politicians who have spent all the surplus SS funds the last 30-40 years that was supposed to fund the baby boomers, remember?? Now another low life politician wants to change the whole system to get out of having to make up the stolen funds. Government Enron? There is nothing noble in Bush's actions. He just wants to burn the staggering trillion(s) of dollars in IOU's to Social Security.
