With all the monitoring of the US citizenry, and with all the weapons at the disposal of the police, I simply don't like to see any of the small protections for the citizenry eliminated. Sure, warrants are more important than this- but that doesn't make this unimportant. In a free society the police (imo) ought to have to warn you by knocking, before they break down your door. Partly that's a safety feature- since I think many people (exercising their right to bear arms) might shoot people breaking down their door if they aren't aware they are policemen. So, from a public policy view, and from a view of protecting the freedoms the courts have carved out for us, I am against this ruling.

You can't find the right to privacy about your body in the constitution either- it's another court created right- but I don't want that going away either.
