You are right. Newspapers will lose much of their clout as they shrink to fit the market that remains after many people switch to electronic media. Radio harmed newspapers, TV harmed newspapers, and now the internet will further erode their impact on the news cycle. Remember though that there are many people who prefer to avoid computers. They will continue to be subject to manipulation by unscrupulous news persons.
