He sounded like a POW---a POW of the left. Reminded me of the manchurian candidate and the brainwashing days in korea. He is not a particularly smart man and i think that there is a category of soldier who regrets at some level, the things they did during wartime. I think soldiers will understand this. How does one reconcile fighting for a just cause and killing? It must be tough so as looney as he sounds, i am always prepared to cut him a break, unlike jerks like dean and pelosi. I also cut the same break for kerry and mccain too. I dont cut any breaks for cheney and rummy and other armchair generals or left liberals who come at FP with an anti american bias.
