6/16/06 Update
Despite a big Thursday rally, the biotech bears owned the week. At the Friday, 6/16 close, the Nasdaq Biotech Index was down -7.44% YTD, vs. being down -6.36% at its 6/9/06 close. The median for all 40 Charity portfolios had an even sharper decline for the week and is now -3.97% YTD vs. -.17% YTD the prior week.
RKRW's portfolio, up 29.3% YTD, and WILDER's portfolio, up 18.6% YTD, are still No. 1 & No. 2. But most of the 40 Charity portfolios are in much worse shape. As of their, 6/16 close, just 13 were in positive territory YTD. Still, 26 of the 40 are outperforming the Nasdaq Biotech Index.
(On a personal note, my own portfolio was finally booted out of the Top Ten. But, to my amazement, it's still up 2.1% YTD.)
Have a fun weekend everybody!
