Personally, if someone (especially of Coulter's ilk) called me a 'godless liberal', my only response could be "And your point is?"
Not that I regard myself as wildly liberal, but it's not exactly insulting. And godless is a simple statement of fact (AFAIK).

However, I think Dale's point is that she *meant* it to be extremely insulting, plus divisive and irritating. That's not especially worthy.
