Tejek, what can we do when both houses of Congress AND the White House are dominated by Republicans? We essentially have no power. This situation has convinced me to never vote for the same party for Congress as I do for the White House. If I vote for a Republican in the White House, I'll vote straight Democrat for the House and Senate, and vice versa, from now on. One party owning two branches of government has proven to be a Democracy destroyer. They clearly are ignoring the will of the people. For example, the most recent polls show the majority of Americans want a date set for the withdrawal of troops, yet they just voted Kerry's bill down.
