I understood your point about the cops and it's reasonable. But it's also very clear to me that, outside the world of the cops, the next step is the world of judges and lawyers.

Whatever goes wrong in the world of cops, should be made right in the world of judges and lawyers.

If evidence that is seized in violation of the law can be used anyway, where's the brakes?

I'll tell you where the brakes are. Without the exclusionary rule, they won't exist. They didn't exist before the exclusionary rule, and when it's taken away they'll go away again.

And the people being searched will simply despair that there is no justice. They don't really believe in it anyway. They think there's two levels of justice, justice for the strong, which is good, and justice for the weak, which isn't.

Tired of arguing this one. You can have the last word.
