Apparently Bush and Rove are going to nationalize the midterms and make Iraq the top issue - a bold strategy, but really risky

Well, it will probably bring the Jacksonians back into the fold, the pro-war Republicans that are disgusted over Bush's track record on immigration. Not sure if it will work with anybody else.

Probably backfire with a lot of undecideds.

My husband and I are still voting for George Allen for Senate, and I'm still voting for Tom Davis for Congress and he's still not (casting a blank vote for the House). Not sure about the kids. I don't think about Bush when I vote for my Congress critters. Or war. I'm still in "we broke it, we buy it" mode.

I think we set out to do what we intended to do, get rid of Saddam and whatever WMD programs were still around. The rest of the mess isn't something we can fix, just keep killing bad guys even though they'll never run out.
