All, is there a fly in the ointment, maybe?

Licensing revenue decreased however application revenue made up for it (and more).

From September 11, 1997:
biz.yahoo.com

ADBE noted that a surge in applications product shipments in the last week of the third quarter led to record quarterly revenue. The application products revenue increase more than offset a decrease in licensing revenue during the quarter that resulted from a number of factors affecting original equipment manufacturer shipments, primarily in the Japanese market, and price reductions by Hewlett-Packard Co. (HWP) for its monochrome laser printers.

However they have a surge of application shipments in one last week of the quarter. Stuffing the channel for back-to-school/
Christmas? This is bound to be a very eratic component of the business. Any thoughts on what the follow-up quarters can bring and when are the critical times to watch this stock.
