If you ain't scared, you ain't right. I console myself with the thought that if it all turns to shit, we could always go and live in Peru in some small town in a nice valley somewhere. Modern life is too complicated anyway. Having lived in one place for 10 years, I find my house is full of junk of all kinds. Every day more arrives, some by choice, some unsolicited. It is crazy how much stuff we all have.
