I TOO support a flat tax --- but the ONLY WAY to make that rate as LOW as possible, is to slash all the loopholes, 'special tax preference items' and other government favoritism and 'thumb on the scales' meddling.

And, without the LURE of a low rate, you will never get the flat rate plan through the political process.

(Not only that, but with the elimination of loopholes, and compression of multiple rates down to a single, rock-bottom rate, you will *also* gain the benefit of HIGHER GROWTH in the economy, annual compliance costs lowered by hundreds of BILLIONS, and more efficient markets and businesses.)
