Marco's you are such a good writer with wonderful wit. I still remember one witty retort you posted years ago to someone who was ranting about something and I was thinking this is just too good to just disappear into the ether.

Maybe sentient beings in outer space got a good laugh out of it-lol. YOu should write a book about something-lol.

Re atheism vs agnostic there is another way to look at it put forth by the philosopher Charles Pierce. He by the way coined the term pragmatic and William James stole it from him.

He said: each of us is at any time is in a state of belief, disbelief or doubt. We have no control over it. We may believe something and then something changes our minds to either put us into a state of doubt or disbief.

Responsible atheists, like me, (lol) are just saying we believe there is no god. We are not saying we KNOW there is no god.

As you say that is impossible, but does not necessarily make one an agnostic.
