This sort of reasoning has me quite baffled. I'm the kind of person who believes things because my experience, senses and intelligence force me to. I can't imagine what it's like to be someone who believes something because he wants to. In fact I'm extremely sceptical that people who say this really do believe. But then, if you observe the _behaviour_ of most self-proclaimed believers, you'll notice that they don't act as if there were a God, at least not the kind they claim to believe in. In many cases you have to say that they are manifesting a belief in a rather unimpressive sort of deity, one who is easily tricked. Not too surprising, since man made gods in his image.
