Whale meat is a traditional Japanese food, and is also a staple food in many minor northern cultures. It is very good for you. A true cardiac tonic, defeating cholesterol like no other food. Japanese diets seem to gravitate towards these kind of foods, fish, miso, soy, whale, veggies, all of which are supremely Cancer and CVD defeating as is proven in part by the Greenland Eskimo and the Okinawans. Whale contributes selenium, magnesium, vitamin E complexes, B vitamins and lipotropics, as well as many other bioflavonoids. It raises the selenium, magnesium and E levels from 4 to 20 times the NA average.

On the other hand, I agree that the whale is generally endangered if fish are not so the reasons to eat whale are not prepossessing.
