Your original post expressed a desire to force southern states to secede. If you meant that, then logically you ought to regret that Lincoln didn't let the Confederacy go. For if he hadn't then your proposed movement to force the south to secede would already be an accomplished fact. But you don't want to be honest about it.

--------------------
You say you don't care how "other church leaders" feel but only about what they say out loud. "And what they say out loud is pretty lame."

How in the world would you know what they say? Would you expect the liberal media to report criticisms of Phelps by "other church leaders"?

I should also have asked why you assume Phelps is a church leader at all (which you do by using the phrase "other church leaders"). His tiny "church" is composed of only his immediate family - his children and grand-children.
----------------------
I've thought about the Consitutional question rather than think about wishing whether Lincoln let the South go. Just goes to show you that people [you and I] think about different things.

All that little statement shows is your inflated ego.

But you brought this tangent up.

No, you did when you proposed the forced secession of the red states and expulsion of Republicans. Hey were you thinking about some constitutional question when you proposed the expulsion of Republicans?

I propose that at least some of the red states secede from the United States. While there was a civil war over secession, I don't see anything in the Constitution that prevents a State from seceding. The States [not the people] ratified the Constitution, it seems reasonable to me that the States should be able to withdraw it they choose to.

Well, there you go again, wanting to nullify the effect of the Lincoln Presidency. Say, do you think the emancipation proclamation was unconstitutional? Is that what you were hinting at in the earlier post?

If the Feds want to have another Civil War over the red states seceding, I promise to demonstrate for the red state's right to secede.

Of course, no one would expect a liberal to go to war or anything.
