This is in contrast to the Afghanistan coalition, where all these same nations joined willingly, without coercion, carrots or sticks. Allen, go back at look at the links from 2001. They were huge wails of 'why do they hate us' and 'find the root cause (poverty)' and 'don't bomb Afghanistan back into the Stone Age'. Protests too. In America and Europe. The Left is just having a convenient lapse of memory here about Afghanistan. The only thing that is true is that the Afghanistan protests were smaller than the later Iraq protests. But today's Left is 100% against any use of US military power, for any reason.
