In today's "Business Insider" column, Herb Greenberg (SF Chronicle) reports that "Also said to be on the auction block: Former high-flyer Macromedia, the hobbled software company. Macromedia officials couldn't be reached." Could today's big move be related to Greenberg's gossip? Any speculations about who the acquirers might be? (I don't place much faith in Greenberg's speculations; tends to be wrong more than right.)
