Unlikely...what so many people seem to not get, is that there is no support for regime change within Iran. Iranians want a change of behavior in *some* aspects of the regime. But that is a far cry from a regime change that is why you have not seen the kinds of riots that would please Cheney

So why do the mullahs have to scrub the ballot of 3/4 of the candidates, getting rid of all moderates or reformers, before having an election? Which they they have to rig to get Ahmedinijad in? Sure, the populace wants changes in "some" aspects of the regime, like its totaliarian control over their lives and its utter failure to provide jobs.

If the mullahs thought they had popular support, they would run real elections.

They know better. There have been riots and unrest all over the country, it's just not getting much press.
